Also, they go againstg sin and thin gin which means they boast of their corruptions and t hey water down inebriant so they can make more notes in the bars. The poem is pretty literal.

Brooks doesnt try and block the reader and drag them on a foresightful wasted out novel of a poem. It is short, sweet and to the point. She rhymes all devil lines and has four stanzas. The very beginning of the poem The pool players, seven at the golden shovel, is kind of like an existence that sets the characterization for the plot.
